Notice of Disposition
Notice of Intention to Dispose of an Interest in Regional District Property
Pursuant to sections 272 and 286 of the Local Government Act, the Capital Regional District hereby gives notice of its intention to provide assistance and dispose of its fee simple interest in the following lands (the Land):

Agency Acquiring the Land: City of Langford
The Capital Regional District (the CRD) received the Land via Bill 17-1997, Capital Regional Water Supply and Sooke Hills Protection Act as regional water assets. Both lots are linear parcels of land that run parallel to Irwin Road and beneath both lots are active and inactive water supply mains.
The City of Langford (the City) approached the CRD to acquire the Land in order to construct a new section of Irwin Road.
The property is shown in bold on the map. Lot 2 is approximately 3,550 m2 and Lot 3 is approximately 4,260 m2. The 2017 BC Assessment value for each lot is $107,000.
The lots will be dedicated as road, which by default become the jurisdiction of the City, and the CRD would not receive any monetary compensation for the Land. The City will be responsible for survey costs, registration charges, and goods and services taxes associated with the dedication as well as any other associated costs necessary to complete the transaction.
