the City of Dawson Creek BRITISH COLUMBIA “the Capital of the Peace” NOTICE OF PROPOSED COUNCIL PROCEDURE BYLAW Pursuant to Section 124 of the Community Charter, the Council of the City of Dawson Creek is proposing to amend Council Procedure Bylaw No. 3696, 2003 and is required to give public notice of the proposed changes. In general terms, the proposed changes include: 1. Addition of definitions and legislation for clarification. 2. Addition of “Project Steering Committee” to fulfill recommendations by the Auditor General for Local Government. 3. Amending the Inaugural meeting date from the first Monday in December to the first Monday following an election. 4. Amending the Regular Council meeting day and agenda deadline when the schedule falls on a holiday to capture current practice. 5. Removal of the Question and Answer Period. 6. Changing the order of business and meeting start time to 9:00 am. A copy of the proposed COUNCIL PROCEDURE BYLAW NO. 4374, 2018 and staff report outlining changes in further detail may be seen between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays at City Hall, 10105 - 12A Street, Dawson Creek, BC.
