NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING THE LEGALIZATION OF CANNABIS AND THE RELATED AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY’S ZONING AND BUSINESS LICENCE BYLAWS
TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall, Dawson Creek, B.C. on Monday, September 17, 2018. Any member of the public, who feels they may be affected by the proposed changes to the City’s Zoning Bylaw No. 4115 or the City’s Business Licence & Regulation on Bylaw No. 4288, may comment at that me or may submit comments for inclusion on the Public Hearing agenda to
admin@dawsoncreek.ca
no later than noon on Monday, September 10, 2018.
A brief description of the proposed bylaw amendments are provided below:
ZONING AMENDMENT (18-04) BYLAW NO. 4391, 2018
• add the definition of Cannabis Retail Store and the general regulations for the production, distribution or sale of cannabis.
ANNUAL BUSINESS LICENCE & REGULATION AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 4389, 2018
• add the definition of Cannabis Production and Sale, include licence fees and amend the business licence to include Cannabis Production and Sale.
A copy of the proposed bylaws may be seen between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays at City Hall, 10105 - 12A Street, Dawson Creek, BC. Questions regarding the bylaws may be directed to Alex Wallace at
