Proposed Significant Amendment to Old Growth Management Areas in the Parsnip Landscape Unit

Conifex
is proposing to remove area from Old Growth Management Area (OGMA) Polygons #13, 18a and 18b in the Parsnip Landscape Unit. The removal of area from the OGMAs is necessary for the construction of two access roads to facilitate the harvest of spruce bark beetle impacted timber, outside of the OGMAs, within the Cut-Thumb and Tutu Creek drainages. Conifex proposed to add larger areas of similar old growth forest back into the OGMAs to replace the area removed to construct the access roads.
