Sunshine Coast Replacement Forest Stewardship Plan Interfor Corporation gives notice and invites comments on the proposed 5-year replacement Sunshine Coast Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP). The FSP covers areas in the Sunshine Coast Timber Supply Area within the Sunshine Coast Natural Resource District. The FSP shows the location of Forest Development Units and provides the results and strategies that the plan holders will follow for objectives that the government has set for various forest and resource values. The FSP is an operational plan in accordance with the Forest and Range Practices Act. The FSP is available for review by resource agencies and the public before the Delegated Decision Maker from the Ministry of Forests considers approval. The plan, when approved, will form the basis for future development of roads and cutblocks leading to the issuance of cutting permits and road permits, which provide authority to harvest timber. The FSP may be adjusted following written comments received during the public review which extends from September 21, 2022, to November 21, 2022. The FSP is available for review as noted in the table below. Upon written request, alternate arrangements can be made to facilitate a paper review.
