Volunteer Opportunity Rural Representative to Powell River Library Board The qathet Regional District is inviting applications from interested individuals to serve as a Trustee on the Powell River Municipal Library Board (Board) for a two year term. Library Board Trustees set policy and manage the overall direction of library services, as set out in Part 2 of the Library Act . Board members serve without remuneration and are expected to attend monthly meetings and to share in Board activities and responsibilities. Applicants must be a resident of Electoral Area 'A', 'B', 'C' or 'D'. Employees of the City of Powell River, qathet Regional District or the Powell River Public Library are not eligible to apply. Interested individuals are invited to submit a letter describing why they want to serve as a Library Board Trustee. The letter should include any particular interests, work experience or other qualifications they consider relevant to the position. For information on the Board's current priorities, please see the Library's website to review the current strategic plan. Individuals with experience and/or interest in advocacy work and community development are of particular interest. Applicants must also provide two current references, either personal or business. In order to register at the time of voting, you will be required complete the application form available at the voting place and to make a declaration that you meet the requirements to be registered as set out below: RESIDENT ELECTORS: To register as a resident elector you must: - be 18 years of age or older on general voting day [October 15, 2022]; - be a Canadian citizen; - be a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the day of registration (at time of voting); - be a resident of the District of Taylor on the day of registration (at time of voting); and - not be disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election or assent voting and not otherwise disqualified by law. He left his belongings behind and never came back to take them. His belongings include furniture (including bed, coach, drawers, TV, TV stand), kitchen supplies (including plates, pans, cups), and personal belongings (including clothes, towels, books, albums). Black Mount Logging Inc. and Richmond Plywood [Inc]. wish to give notice and offer invitation for written comments on the replacement Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) for FL A19215, FL A19217, FL A20541 and TL T0765. The area of the FSP is located in the vicinity of Squamish BC within the Soo Timber Supply Area of the Sea to Sky Forest District. The review and comment period for this FSP commences from September 8th and ends November 10, 2023. This Forest Stewardship Plan displays the locations of the Forest Development Units and entails a set of forest and resource management strategies and results that must be met by the FSP Holder. This FSP meets all the objectives set by the Provincial government, including the Ministerial Order for Land Use Objectives for the Sea-to-Sky Land and Resource Management Plan. This Plan will be available for review by appointment at the Black Mount Logging Office in Squamish BC (8:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:00pm).
